Guitar Hero DLC: KISS-Mas Track Pack

Activision has, once again, ended the Guitar Hero DLC drought with one of the biggest acts in the world.

KISS-mas Track Pack

  • Detroit Rock City
  • Calling Dr. Love
  • Rock and Roll All Nite (Previously available in Guitar Hero: Greatest/Smash Hits)

Xbox Marketplace Link – 440 MSP

The KISS-mas Track Pack for the Guitar Hero Music Library will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation®Store for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for $5.49 and for Wii™ for 550 Wii Points™.  All songs in the KISS-mas Track Pack will also be released as downloadable singles for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $1.99 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each.

Unfortunately for Wii users it may be a good idea to hold off on purchasing this pack as there appears to be a conflict with the data if you had previously exported Smash Hits. Activision has been notified of the problem and hopefully we will have a fix shortly.

Hey Guitar Hero when are we getting this?

i like…. version 2? of that song? it was done on the most excelent fim of Bill and Ted! infact, that whole soundtrack should be downloaded as a pack…. there was Kiss, Primus. Megadeth… it was amazing!

eh… already have Rock and Roll and I have Dr Love on RB… I will only be picking up Detroit Rock City. Pretty weak releases for both RB and GH today.

  4. Yaniv says:

Well, I guess it’s better than no DLC at all. But still, we’re getting only a 3-pack, one of which we already have in a different game. Activision benefit from a bad week on the RB side but overall it’s still an average effort on their part.

  5. Elliott says:

Drums on Detroit Rock City look awesome \m/

  6. DVD Smith says:

To elaborate on the Wii problem: downloading ANY of the Kiss songs results in the GH:SH imported songs being rendered INVISIBLE by the game. The songs remain on the SD card and the total song count does not change, however they cannot be played, deleted, redownloaded or moved in the Rock Archive menu.

Deleting the Kiss songs does NOT resolve the problem either – so avoid this DLC for now.

Thanks for the info… I will hold off on Detroit Rock City for right now.

    • JayJay says:

Interestingly, I replaced the 000.bin and 001.bin ‘catalogue’ files in the WoR DLC folder on the SD card with a backup one I had and the GH import came back, but a couple of newer songs like the My Chemical Romance pack wouldn’t show up.

  7. Jake says:

Is the chart on Rock and Roll All Nite any different, then Smash Hits? If it isnt i probably wont get it and ill get the other two

  8. Leonardo Storti says:

    MORE KISS!?!?!?!?

oh come on, I don’t want more KISS I have 6 KISS songs in my GH library already, release more different bands already bands that we don’t have as DLC, like for example Alice In Chains, Coheed and Cambria, Dream Theater, System of a Down, TOOL and where the hell is my Iron Maiden? why am I not seeing Iron Maiden DLC?!

    • Cactaur says:

I second this motion. Stop giving us songs and bands that we’ve already had a lot of, give us new stuff we’ve never had a chance to play before. Kiss is fine, but I’ve already seen these songs before.

      • Ed Tanguy says:

I would like to third this motion if possible…

i wouldn’t mind some new artists, even if they are not famous, just aslong as it is fun to play ^^

  9. Leonardo Storti says:

But even though this wasnt the band I was expecting, thank you KISS.

I like KISS too so don’t you people go saying I hate KISS, but we need the other good bands come on

  10. Ed Tanguy says:

erm…. what if i put the KISS DLC on a differant SD card to my imports? will my imports show up then??

  11. Game!Ov3r says:

kinda on topic… Gene Simmons is the man! He banged over 5,000 women and took pictures of each one of them!
