The Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Track Pack that was released last week gave us a good mix of Slash, Poison Tesla, Rush and Alice Cooper. You may remember reports that Alice Cooper was actually needing to rerecord all of his hits so that they could be released as Guitar Hero DLC. Turns out our good friend, Steve Ouimette, was responsible for the version of "Poison" that we saw last week.

We've finally made it to Guitar Hero's fifth birthday! That's right, Guitar Hero has been bringing the rock to a console near you for five years as of today! That means that strange plastic guitar controller that everyone just expected to be written off as "Dance Dance Revolution for your fingers with a useless plastic guitar" has endured half of a decade, several different gaming consoles and made millions upon millions of dollars.

The big number 5 approaches the Guitar Hero at a rapid rate, so in turn, our list of the Top 50 Guitar Songs of the First 5 years of Guitar Hero has, too, been cranked to 11. So far, it's looked like the Ozzy Osbourne show, as we've seen songs from both his solo catalog, as well as his time having fronted Black Sabbath. If you're an Ozzy hater, however, fear not, as this portion contains nothing from the Prince of Darkness. Instead, we see a strong mix of blues, guitar-rock and even a little metal thrown in for good mix. We may even catch a festive appearance from everybody's favorite Guitar Hero shredder, Steve Ouimette.
