The big number 5 approaches the Guitar Hero at a rapid rate, so in turn, our list of the Top 50 Guitar Songs of the First 5 years of Guitar Hero has, too, been cranked to 11.
So far, it’s looked like the Ozzy Osbourne show, as we’ve seen songs from both his solo catalog, as well as his time having fronted Black Sabbath. If you’re an Ozzy hater, however, fear not, as this portion contains nothing from the Prince of Darkness.
Instead, we see a strong mix of blues, guitar-rock and even a little metal thrown in for good mix. We may even catch a festive appearance from everybody’s favorite Guitar Hero shredder, Steve Ouimette. Continue reading →
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been five years since the plastic instrument genre was created for home consoles with the original Guitar Hero.
Since November 8th, 2005, players have shredded their way through over 735 unique guitar charts spread across 13 different discs for the main consoles and several hundred others stemming from downloadable content.
