What’s Your Perfect Halloween Pack?

Hello Boys and Ghouls *gets shot multiple times*

So we all know there’s only one October and it happens to contain a fun holiday where we go door to door and get candy but it also means that perhaps we’ll be getting a Hallows Eve Pack 02 from Guitar Hero!

So I thought a fun thing to do was ask YOU our loyal readers what your PERFECT Hallows Eve Pack would consist of.

So you want to know what mine would be? Well I’m glad you asked!

Elliott’s Picks:

Mostly a vocalist driven song with a solid riff a possible solo and a basic drum/bass chart. The Misfits are always welcome in my Guitar Hero!

Do I really need to explain?

Alice Cooper rules! That’s a given, it’s also my firm belief that the more songs from Wayne’s World we get the better! Solo in this song is awesome.

Brian’s Picks:

Avenged Sevenfold is a great band for this kind of theme. Their lyrics and music are both incredibly dark and often times have that haunting feeling to them. “Nightmare” is a great tune and one of their latest singles, plus it adds that degree of difficulty that is present throughout Warriors of Rock.

“Dragula” doesn’t really need much of a write-up. The song is by a man named Rob Zombie and references the mythical blood sucker in its very title. Plus, it’s a class track

If you disagree with me on this one, leave the site right now. Who wouldn’t love to retry this with the Warriors of Rock engine and full band?

Frankie’s Picks:

The first song that comes to mind for my perfect Halloween pack? I saw this Dimmu Borgir song on an infomercial late at night once and always thought it would kick major arse in Guitar Hero. Everything just sounds so awesome and painful!

This is off of Avenged Sevenfold’s new album Nightmare, which I happen to think is one of the greatest songs on the album and to me seems Halloween-ish enough to warrant an entry into my Halloween pack.

And finally to top off my picks…just seems too obvious to me that one of the most famous scary songs of all time by the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson should shine. CUS THIS IS THRILLAHHHHHHH

So what would you pick? Let us know in the comments below!

Frankenstein by Edgar Winter group would be awesome

  2. Fork1 says:

Welcome home is a damn fine choice elliot.

I’d pick apocalyptic feastings, just because, you know, it’s apocalyptic feastings.

  3. Chris Glass says:

It’d be hilarious to see this one:
SPF 1000 did a song called Haunted House. It already had the “Grim Grinning Ghosts” theme put SUBTLY in, but this remix actually adds the Disneyland Haunted Mansion audio.

  4. Paul Thyer says:

    My Halloween Pack:
    King Diamond
    Children of Bodom

  5. joescorpion says:

    Dead Kennedys- Halloween
    Misfits- Skulls
    Holocaust- the Small Hours
    Alice Cooper- Feed My Frankenstein

  6. Captain Toasty says:

I’d really like Halloween by Helloween (all 13 minutes of it).

  7. rocker4life634 says:

    Pet Sematary
    Horse Latitudes
    Fear of the Dark

    or something like that 😛

  8. Sam says:

Two obvious picks and one weird pick but I feel it would be fun:
    – Halloween by Helloween
    – Scream by The Misfits
    – Into the Coven by Mercyful Fate

  9. Game!Ov3r says:

Marilyn Manson – This is Halloween from the Nightmare Before X-mas remixes

  10. xJKx STYX says:

Cattle Decapitation – “Regret and the Grave”
    Cannibal Corpse – “Evisceration Plague”
Amon Amarth – “Death In Fire”

This could be used as a Metal Blade 02 pack also 🙂 *hint*

Perfectly scary artists all from Metal Blade records probably the best for Death Metal. I would have put in Dethklok, but they aren’t scary, just insanely effin’ awesome.

    Hallow’s Eve Track Pack”

    Disturbed – “The Night”
    Avenged Sevenfold – “Nightmare”
    Rob Zombie – “Dragula”

    These would be awesome.

  14. Ed says:

would it be to cheesy to have the monster mash? 😛

  15. Ryan says:

My picks would be Escape from Hellview by cKy (particularly the version from the Live at Mr. Small’s Funhouse cd/dvd), Curse of the Pharaohs by Mercyful Fate, and Die, Die my Darling by The Misfits

  16. ricecake says:

I also vote for more Misfits, but Danzig era Misfits! “Halloween” would be perfect. “Death Comes Ripping” would probably be pretty sweet on drums. “Skulls” is also a favorite. “Die, Die My Darling” is one of my favorite songs by them.

  17. Game!Ov3r says:

Rob Zombie – Living Dead Girl… would be great!

    Skillet – Monster

    Alice Cooper- Poison

    Talking Heads – Psycho Killer

    Drowning Pool – Sinner

    Operator – Soulcrusher

  18. Vizecrator says:

I’d like to have some Type O Negative, Black No. 1 would fit the theme 🙂

  19. Game!Ov3r says:

Not to get off topic… but are we getting DLC this month at all? I have not seen anything stating that we are getting DLC today?

    • Cactaur says:

Yeah, I know, you think they would have been ready right off the bat with the Soundgarden pack released and nothing leading up to the release of WoR.

  20. DVD Smith says:

Damn it, I came in here just to say Thriller.

Ozzy Osbourne – Bark at the Moon
    Ozzy Osbourne – Zombie Stomp
Ozzy Osbourne – Fire in the Sky

Blue Oyster Cult – Don’t Fear the Reaper
    The Eagles – Witchy Woman
Steve Ouimette – The Devil Went Down to Georgia (and NOT FREE, so Wii can get it)

  21. Ty says:

    “Thriller” by Michael Jackson (duh)
“Kidnap the Sandy Claws” cover by Korn
    “Nightmare” by A7x

  22. DucksFAN says:

This is unexcusable. Just because they gave us a Soundgarden album and a brand new title (Which is awesome, by the way) they think they can slouch on DLC? BS. Rock Band is preparing to release RB3 but their pumping out FULL ALBUMS as DLC. Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley are just a few to name. Then there’s a six-pack from Anthrax, 30 seconds To Mars, Atreyu, and My Chemical Romance. Point is, RB is not holding back on DLC just because they’re releasing a new game. GH is doing just that. GH, I love you, but get your head out of your f***ing a** and release DLC every week of every month; just like YOUR COMPETITION DOES! Your losing the fight I desperately want you to win.

  23. Jake says:

    ^ THIS

Totally agree, but maybe they have something awesome planned for us

    • DucksFAN says:

Hope so, but unlikely. THe BIG thing we were waiting for last month was the GH:M import. Cool? Sure. Important? Not really.
No imports, I want NEW DLC.

      • Elliott says:

Hopefully next week things will back to normal.

In the mean time go check out some of those DLC tracks you may have missed out on!

Or pop in Guitar Hero World Tour and play the Jimi Hendrix songs trapped on there 😉

        • DucksFAN says:

The Jimi Hendrix/Bob Marley example was, well, an example. I hate both of those artists. But when I run out of points buying old DLC like Rise Against or Breaking Benjamin packs (Which I like both of those bands, so don’t have a problem buying their DLC), I will kick myself when GH, for example announces Linkin Park or Disturbed, or Atreyu or Alter Bridge packs. Simply put, I don’t want them to miss a week, or at least tell us when we are getting NEW DLC.

  24. Game!Ov3r says:

Wow, this site has been dead the last few days. So, is the Wii Metallica export working yet?

  25. Alex says:

    A7X- Nightmare
    Disturbed- Haunted
    Rob Zombie- Dragula

  26. BLABLAFU says:

Rob Zombie – Jesus Frankenstein or Dragula.
Slayer – South of Heaven or Angel of Death or Silent Screams.
White Zombie – I’m your Boogeyman or Soul Crusher.
