We’re back to bi-weekly DLC for Rocksmith but that doesn’t mean we still can’t Rock out just as hard as before! You’ve learned Boys Don’t Cry on the Rocksmith disc so get ready for three more additional The Cure songs on March 19th!
A quick google search yields the wikipedia article for The Cure’s Lovesong, which Robert Smith originally wrote for his long-time girlfriend and then fiancée, Mary, as a wedding present.
Did you know Robert Smith filled in for John McKay when he left Siouxsie and The Banshees? OK, well now you do! Also the song appears to be The End of The World off their 2004 album, The Cure.
What will the third song be? Will it be a deep cut like Fascination Street or an obvious choice like Just Like Heaven?

I don’t know if you can subscribe to replies to your comments on these threads but thanks for the update anyways (you’ll notice I posted that comment yesterday). But I know, I just recently found out the news! Isn’t it awesome!?! Bring on the 80′s DLC! MOAR 80s!!
Really? After all this time of waiting and all the requests to add to the great artists that were already on disc: Nirvana, Soundgarden, the Chili Peppers, QOTSA, Velvet Revolver, and STP we get the Fing Cure and the Fing Strokes! Granted, I’m not a fan of either of those 2 bands but “boy’s don’t cry” and “under cover of darkness” are good songs that are fun on guitar and the Incubus pack was good but could’ve been a lot better. Yeah let’s get bands that actually rock and kick ass. I’m really waiting for a Chili Peppers mega-pack: under the bridge, soul to squeeze, otherside, scar tissue, suck my kiss, by the way!, can’t stop, dani california, tell me baby, and fight like a brave. These are songs and bands that I feel we need in rocksmith.
You said “song(s) and band(s) that I feel we need in rocksmith. [emphasis on plural added]” Yet you only mentioned one band and several songs by RHCP. All the other ones are already on there (unless you’re talking about more songs by all of those on-disc artists that you mentioned). Either way, that’s your opinion, which is fine. But do you know much of The Cure other than the one on-disc song? Also, we’re still getting people here making requests in these comments..

I think under the bridge, dani California, Snow (hey oh), suck my kiss, and scar tissue would make an amazing 5 song pack for the RHCP (hint hint rocksmith).
I would also love to see rope and everlong added in another foo fighters pack

I know I don’t really y care for the cure songs I have heard, fascination street isn’t bad. The other bands I listed each had at least one song on disc and I figured those awesome bands r pretty easy to license and Rocksmith would want to showcase their songs. There’s still a lot of artist that aren’t on RS yet and there’s many artist that have been on the dlc that have 1 or 3 or 5 songs (Foo fighters) that still need more songs on the game.

Which is only an option for PC or a modded XBox. We don’t need to advertise Rocksmith customs on every post.
