Earlier last month Steam sprung a leak, and delivered news about three songs coming to Rocksmith. For those who waited patiently tomorrow you will be rewarded, as the three singles from The Guess Who, Steppenwolf, and Cheap Trick hit Rocksmith tomorrow morning!

One disappointment is the omission of the intro of American Woman but that seems to be a trend with the song across all the music games it’s featured in.
Shouldn’t it be Rock Hits 60s-70s 02? Born To Be Wild was a 60s song.
Either way, epic pack that will be instantly bought.

The omitted intro version is the single cut vs. the album cut that has it and is about a minute longer. I expect they use the single cut for playability purposes, although if any game had less to worry about in that regard it’s Rocksmith. I guess if you’re playing bass you’d have nothing to do for the first minute, but it’s better than Rock Band where you have half the band doing nothing. It’s also possible that this is the only version the label will give them. Often times, they don’t have a choice in whether the labels give them single cuts vs. album cuts, or radio-edits vs. uncensored cuts.

It would be kinda like “Fat Bottom Girls” on bass I suppose. Whenever I play that one, I know I have plenty of time to get ready while sitting through about 50 measures of guitar and drum before I come in.
Well, the intro is a) acoustic and b) in an alternate tuning, so it would require transposition in order to play something similar to the original. Not sure it would come across well.
I’ve seen it in Open G but I’ve also seen people play it in standard

There is no pack. Packs only occur when the release contains songs by the same artist.
That blows…they used to in the golden age of DLC…remember getting a pack with Skynyrd, Black Keys, and somebody else when I first bought the game and the blues pack was all different artist. It’s a nice money saver, o well

I always liked Fall Out Boy. I think they lost their “street cred” when Pete Wentz decided he was a tabloid/reality TV star rather than a musician, but I don’t care about any of that. I just dig the music.
To me, it’s kinda like everybody hating on Green Day because they aren’t “punk” anymore. Honestly, who really gives a s–t what a band call themselves? They could call themselves disco or baroque for all I care, to me it’s more about how the music sounds to my ears rather than whatever public image they choose to culitvate for themselves.

Im not sure if im gonna get it, but come on some people love fall out boy. It’s just like the strokes, some people love it and others dont, i bought the pack and i am loving it. You dont need to like it but let others that do have their fun.
Besides, diversity in the dlc never hurts
