Guitar Hero DLC Schedule for October 2010

Well the DLC schedule for October has finally been revealed and it definitely has a Halloween themed pack (that’s for sure).

They kicked off the DLC schedule for October by not only disallowing Wii users some DLC (see: making it free) but also in the process denying Playstation3 players A FREE MUSE SONG yup you heard me right there was a three pack of songs released today that was free for only Xbox 360 users consisting of: “Resistance” (Muse), “Na Na Na” (My Chemical Romance), and “The Infection” (Disturbed). The track pack will cost you the usual amount on October 19th (So silver members get to play too). There is no evidence in the press release it will be available for Playstation3…

On October 26th all the cross-dressing Guitar Hero players can rejoice as Rocky Horror Picture show makes it’s Guitar Hero debut!  Featured in the pack: “Time Warp,” “Sweet Transvestite,” and “Hot Patootie,” also The Hero Feed suggests never playing “Time Warp” sitting down as failure to jump to the left is akin to failure at life.

On October 26th as well will allow people to download singles from @Soundgarden’s Telephantasm album that was previously only available as one big giant pack. Enjoy!

Please remember that as we go forward Guitar Hero DLC will only be compatible with Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock

The Rocky Horror Picture Show track pack will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation(R)Store for PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system for $5.49 and for Wii(TM) for 550 Wii Points(TM). All songs in the Soundgarden Telephantasm singles and Rocky Horror Picture Show track packs will be released as downloadable singles for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $1.99 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each. Additionally, the Rocktober track pack will be available exclusively on the Xbox 360 for 440 Microsoft Points or as singles for 160 Microsoft Points each. In addition to the in-game music store and Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360, Xbox 360 owners can expand their Guitar Hero music library using the Guitar Hero VIP Pass Music Store, available exclusively on Xbox LIVE(R) online entertainment network.

….and then a step to the riiiight

  1. DVD Smith says:

Most epic DLC since The Touch. Gonna blast it on vocals.

And to those of us who don’t have a 360 and want the Rocktober pack…remember that All You Need Is Love was once Xbox-exclusive too.

  2. Game!Ov3r says:

I think I just puked a little in my mouth… really…. really… after a few weeks of really kick butt songs on the I-phone… we get this? The lead up to GH:WOR showed promise with huge named track packs topped off with the huge 6 pack. Wow, just wow… this is sad.

I’m jealous of the Rocky Horror songs way more than the free songs.

  5. DucksFAN says:

YES! Disturbed and Muse! MCR is Ok too. But a FREE DISTURBED DLC! THIS IS AWESOME 🙂

Guitar Hero, thank you for this. I now accept the missed week.
    Come On guys, ITS FREE!!!

  6. Sam says:

So I guess no new DLC on the 19 (for Xbox Live Gold members anyway)?

  7. Scott says:

I can’t believe GH got Rocky Horror BEFORE RB and on the launch day of RB3 no less.

  8. DucksFAN says:

Now that the mystery is solved for October’s DLC (Which I, personally, am satisfied with), I thought an early prediction for November would be fun, so here it is:

    November 2nd

    Hard Rock Track Pack 2

Five Finger Death Punch – “No One Gets Left Behind”
    Linkin Park – “With You”
    Foo Fighters – “The Pretender”

    November 9th

    All That Remains Track Pack

    “For We Are Many”
    “Hold On”
    “The Waiting One”

    November 16th

    The Offspring Track Pack

    “You’re Gonna Go Far Kid”
    “Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?”

    November 23th

    Avenged Sevenfold Track Pack

    “Welcome To The Family”
    “Danger Lines”

    November 30th

    Mixed Pack 1

Papa Roach – “She Loves Me Not”
    Nickelback – “Gotta Be Somebody”
30 Seconds To Mars – Closer To The Edge”

OK, that’s my prediction, please comment, I would really like to hear what you guys all think! Peace.

  9. Chilli says:

Would like to hope there’s some surprise free dlc for ps3 next week (hence the blank space next to the 19th).

would pick up All that Remains DLC, but the rest is pretty meh.
change Avenged pack to ‘A little piece of heaven’, ‘Blinded in Chains’ and ‘Burn it Down’ and i would pick it up.

  10. rollman says:

Anyone know why this track pack is valued at -1 point to me and it wants me to add points when I have 300?

IS this because I am not a gold subscriber?

  11. Toad3000 says:

I’m confused. The activision press release that announced this specifically says “over 18 new downloadable tracks” this month. I count 17, including the 11 soundgarden songs that aren’t really new, as they’ve been available since the launch of GH:WoR
That being said…YAY Rocky Horror track pack! And I’ll gladly take that muse song, whenever it finds it’s

  12. Toad3000 says:

Damn. Whenever it finds its way to the PS3, is what I was trying to say

  13. Ben says:

I find it kinda dirty to tell your fans that in order to have any of the DLC you MUST have the new game. I’m sure if HMX did something similar they would have lost tons of fans. I know most/all DLC moves up with the games, but i have very little interest in getting WoR (mainly because of my total hatred of anything Rush related), I’ve constantly gotten almost all GH titles (save for Aerosmith and Van Halen) and played them a little only to put them aside because i grow tired of the game. Sorry GH, i’m done with you until you come back refreshed.
